Navin Prabhakar the engaging comedian, mimicry artist and actor has come a long way in his career. He is presently winning hearts as an actor on the big screen, taking up new challenges and excelling as a performer.
In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, Navin talks about his interests, passion for acting and on his future goals.

How are you enjoying your stint and phase as an actor?
Being an actor, you need to have all the patience in Bollywood to get a chance. It’s all about creating your own vision of the path of an actor. It’s all about your acting knowledge meeting your experience on sets, and converting real opportunities. Whenever I get a chance to speak in public about tickets to Bollywood, I always say if you are not a good human you cannot be a great actor. Your kindness and your patience keep you growing day by day as an actor. I thank all my casting directors who always called me for new roles and new characters.
Which is the topmost priority for you – stand-up or acting?
Acting is my priority nowadays and standup is my bread butter and my first love. Kyuki apna choolha wahi chalata hai acting mein paisa demand karne ka waqt bahot jald aa raha hai.
How have you found this transition from being a comedian to a complete actor?
Complete actor? Me? No way, I am not a complete actor and as a matter of fact, I believe in learning new things in acting. Cinema is living life for me, it’s my lifeline now. When I got the first call after Laughter Challenge happened, I did a film. On the set of that shoot, I experienced the new atmosphere, the new style of working. I loved the process. jab ek baar chehre par makeup lag gaya .. toh woh creativity ka nasha aapko chain se Sone nahi deta . I still watch two films every day, without that I don’t go to sleep.. the learning is never ending here.
What are the projects you have up your sleeve?
There are a few films up for release. let’s wait and watch.. ibtida-i-ishq hai rota hai kya.. Jara aage aage dekhiye Hota Hai kya.
What will be your priceless contribution to the industry?
Being an actor if I am inspiring people or cinema lovers in any manner, it is a great achievement in my life, I must say.
You have worked in all mediums, how different are they?
Yes, I have worked in all mediums. But I love to perform on stage in front of a live audience. In every medium you work, you have to wait for the audience’s liking and appreciation which comes to you after a few months or weeks, but a live show audience gives you a quick response to our new creations. You get to know if it working or not. That’s the beauty of live shows.
