Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio met on the set of Titanic in 1996 and the couple stole the hearts of the audience with their mettle performance. At the time, Kate was 21 and Leo was 22 years old. The romance they portrayed on the screen felt so real, the audience thought they were a couple in real life. But Kate and Leo have always denied those rumors and stressed on them being good friends. After Titanic, they shared the same screen in 2008, in the movie The Revolutionary Road. The film revolves around a couple and the hardships they face to live a happy life. For her performance in Revolutionary Road, Kate Winslet won The Golden Globe award and in her speech she expresses her gratitude to Leonardo, to which he replies by blowing kisses. In fact, when the Award was being presented and Kate’s name was announced, she hugged Leonardo before hugging her husband.
Throughout these years, the bond between Leonardo and Kate has only deepened. He has been with her through her breakups and divorces and also was her support when Kate lost her mother. In 2012, Leonardo walked Kate down the aisle and played a major role in Kate and Ned Rocknroll’s wedding. In 2016, Leonardo Dicaprio was nominated for the Oscar and Kate Winslet was there to support her best friend. Can you imagine these actors have never been in love?
