Today, the actor uploaded a video on his official Instagram account in which he was seen sitting on a chair while getting his makeup done. This video is a time-lapse which was shot during the shooting of the movie ‘Minamata’. The movie was based on a photographer W. Eugene Smith who travels to Minamata, Japan, a coastal city which was devastated by mercury poisoning. Accompanied by an ardent translator and uplifted by local villagers, Smith’s compelling images expose decades of obvious lack of care. The movie was rated 7.3/10 by IMDb. At the box office, the film crossed $1.7 million.
Johnny’s reel was captioned as “In the makeup trailer on ‘Minamata’, now on Digital and DVD in North America”. The purpose behind posting this reel is clearly understandable in the caption itself. Now, Minamata is available in digital and DVD guise in North America.
After the Amber Heard trial, Johnny is expected to resume work in the industry. It was announced back in January that Depp will be playing King Louis XV in the period movie Jeanne Du Barry. It was also disclosed that the Pirates of the Caribbean star will be teaming up with guitarist Jeff Beck for an album that is supposed to release sometime in July.
