For those who don’t know, a kasavu half saree is a traditional South Indian three-piece outfit called pavadai davani, and it is styled with Kerala’s iconic off-white and gold aesthetic. Anarkali’s outfit includes an ivory/cream skirt and a matching shawl (davani) decorated with kasavu—the signature gold zari woven borders native to Kerala. It is teamed with a three-fourth-sleeve matching blouse featuring embroidered coconut trees in golden thread on the back, adding a traditional touch.
