Australia beauty Margot Robbie is now going to be seen in the shoes of our favorite childhood character in a film by Warner Bros. They finally found time to work on a brand new first look at Barbie after the project was stalled for quite some time. As you may expect, the image is predominantly pink. Barbie is also having a good time in her classic pink convertible. The Barbie dreamhouse is the only thing missing from this photograph.

A tweet by the Warner Bros. stated – ‘Barbie July 21, 2023, Only in Theatres’

Margot Robbie brings the Mattel doll to life in the first-look image. It features the Australian actress in the driver’s seat of Barbie’s iconic pink convertible, clad in a summer-ready gown and with a wide smile on her face. The movie will be released only in theatres on July 21, 2023, according to Warner Bros.

The narrative of the new film is currently unknown, but Robbie has provided more clues, implying that fans’ expectations should be thrown out the window. She told the news organization that their new Barbie endeavor challenges stereotypes about the figure. She went on to say that the role “comes with a lot of baggage,” referring to the doll’s history of controversy. “As well as a lot of nostalgic ties,” Robbie added. “However, with that comes a slew of new ways to fight it.” It raises our excitement, even more, to know what the storyline of the movie will be like.

Along with Robbie, the Barbie cast includes Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Alexandra Shipp, Michael Cera, and Ariana Greenblatt.

Barbie was formerly intended to be played by Amy Schumer, who signed on to the film in December 2016. She did, however, leave the film owing to creative differences.
