Rang De Basanti is undoubtedly one of the most loved and celebrated movies in Hindi cinema and director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra has certainly pulled off an amazing script with the best of actors to make a memorable patriotic movie. Everyone starting from Aamir Khan to Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor, Siddharth and others did a fabulous job and we are totally in love with it.
Some time back, we got to know a lot of unknown stuff about the movie and the dynamics behind it, all thanks to Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s book. But hey, is there any element of truth to the fact that James Bond movie Hollywood actor Daniel Creg auditioned for a role in the movie?
Yes, that’s true. In his autobiography, Rakeysh was quoted as saying by ZEE News saying,
“I remember vividly that one of the people who auditioned for the part of James McKinley, the young jailor who walks Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev to be hanged, was none other than current James Bond, Daniel Craig.”
