Emraan Hashmi has been having a bad time at the box-office in the last many years, and is desperate for a hit now.

After 16 Flops Emraan Hashmi searching for a hit

A few years ago, Emraan Hashmi, was one of the top draws especially in smaller centres like Bihar and Madhya Pradesh where his torrid smooching made him a hot favourite.

Of late Emraan’s career has swung into a depression. His latest release The Body has opened to shockingly low collections even in his home territory Bihar where theatres are looking at the cancellation of shows in the days to come.

The film The Body collected a shocking Rs 60 lakhs at the box-office all over India on the day of release.

A local distributor says, “The Body is a washout. Even the smooching that was once a big USP for Emraan fans no longer turns them on. There was a time when Emraan’s films opened houseful. Now he has lost the market to younger actors who have come in the last five years. He needs to re-invent himself.”

Would the suspense thriller Chehre where Emraan shares screen space with Amitabh Bachchan bring Emraan back in the reckoning?

After 17 flops in a row (only one release during the past ten years Badshaho was not a loser and that also starred Ajay Devgan), and Emraan Hashmi needs a hit desperately.
