And in a recent interview, the actor revealed himself to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love & War, expressing his feelings about being cast as Ranbir Kapoor’s father.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, actor Ashwin Kaushal shared that he met filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Film City, where his set was getting ready. And it was a first time meeting him, and it was indeed a great moment as he saw Sanjay sir with grey hair and that personality he has. Ashwin highlighted that Sanjay welcomed him warmly.
Further, Ashwin revealed that Sanjay sir has a role for him in the film with one or two scenes, and he agreed to it because being cast in the masterpiece created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a great opportunity. But he adds that he was offered a different role, but when he went home, he got a call the next day informing him that the sir had thought something different for him after studying him.
Ashwin then shared that he was informed that he was being cast as the father of Ranbir Kapoor. The actor further emphasized that being offered to play Ranbir Kapoor left him thinking about how destiny unexpectedly does things. He shared that he admires Rishi Kapoor and getting an opportunity to play Ranbir Kapoor’s father is a big deal, highlighting that he doesn’t consider himself to be Rishi Kapoor.
Sharing about his meeting with Ranbir, actor Ashwin shared that he met Ranbir and got to know that he knew about him and studied him. Talking about Ranbir’s personality, Ashwin called him sanskari and humble despite the stardom he has.
