The ASSI trailer has released, and Taapsee Pannu is back with her fierce theatrics once again. The story centres on a woman who gets kidnapped, in a car, gang-raped and is later left to die near railway tracks. The narrative shifts its a legal battle, where Taapsee plays Raavi, a dauntless lawyer who takes on the case in the survivor’s best interests. The story shows her struggle to obtain justice in a world where corruption, patriarchy, and common criminal behaviour have become established norms.

The movie explores the complex aspects of sexual violence while demonstrating how society participates in these acts and showing the lasting psychological effects that survivors experience after they finish their legal proceedings. The intense drama maintains its direct storytelling approach but creates a moral conflict that aims to disrupt viewers’ thinking patterns and inspire social awareness within their groups.
