Both the movies are helmed by superstars who are nothing less than brilliant. Both Ajith Kumar and Thalapathy Vijay are worshipped by their fans and hence, it’s only natural that when their movies release, netizens simply love it and can’t keep calm for real. On day 1, both the movies did reasonably well in South India, particularly the Tamil Nadu market which is their main hold. Well, as per the latest media reports in IndiaHerald, Ajith Kumar’s ‘Thunivu’ did better business in Tamil Nadu on day 1 than Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’. While early estimates predicted that the day 1 collection would be something around Rs 19-21 crores, the reality as per media reports is that it earned around 22 crores on day 1. As per social media buzz as well, the movie ‘Thunivu’ is currently holding the number one place in box office.
However, hey Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna fans, there’s nothing to worry. With good word of mouth and critical acclaim, the collection of Varisu is set to get a push as well very soon.
