Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal and Meena Sagar, was released just a couple of days ago in Malayalam. However, the film is receiving mixed reactions, with netizens expressing their dissatisfaction with the third part. Amid that, actor Prakash Raj, who is well known in Hindi and South cinema and is also part of the Hindi version of Drishyam 3, shared a major update on the upcoming film, prompting fans to react, many pinning their hopes on the Hindi version after disappointment with the Malayalam version.
On Friday, May 22, actor Prakash Raj, who wasn’t part of Drishyam 1 and 2, is starring in the third installment in a key role. Sharing a major update on the Hindi version of Drishyam 3, the actor posted a picture of himself on the set, facing the back and the action board. In the caption, the actor revealed he has wrapped the shoot of the upcoming film.
Prakash Raj wrote, “#Drishyam3 Hindi .. Just wrapped up a fantastic shoot with a wonderful team… thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this film. I’m sure you’ll love it too… on to the next one.”

In Prakash’s posts, fans expressed their reactions, pinning their hopes on the Hindi version after the disappointment from Mohanlal’s Malayalam version.
A user in the comments section wrote, “Hope its different from the Malayalam version…. malayalam was”

The second in the comments said, “I hope it’s better than the Malayalam version.”

In contrast, the third had a different opinion, who wrote, “Comparing a remake to the original Drishyam is an insult to cinema. You can polish a stone but it’ll never be a diamond #mohanlal Georgekutty isn’t just a character it’s a legacy. Stop trying to fix what was never broken.”

Drishyam 3 Hindi version is set to release in theatres on October 2, 2026, on Gandhi Jayanti. Actors Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, and Rajat Kapoor will reprise their roles, while Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj have joined the third installment in key roles. It is produced by Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajit Andhare, and Alok Jain under Panorama Studios production and directed by Abhishek Pathak.
