From Shah Rukh Khan to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: Bollywood actors who broke their ‘no kissing policy’

There was a time in the industry when the slightest intimate scenes in movies created all the rage. Back then, the audience was uncomfortable with such scenes and so there were hardly any bold scenes in the films. But as time passed, the industry evolved and with it, the audience evolved as well.

The industry has now entered a new era of love and romance. From two flowers coming close to each other, we now see celebrities locking lips on-screen to display their romance. However, a few celebs like Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, and Shilpa Shetty have all said a big no to kissing their co-stars even if the script demands it.

However, on the other hand, there have been several cases where celebrities had added a no-kissing clause but wiggled out of the self-imposed ban for some movies. So, here we bring you a list of Bollywood actors who broke their no kissing policy.

Shah Rukh Khan: The King Khan of Bollywood has romanced a lot of Bollywood beauties in his blockbuster movies. However, he always abstained from locking lips with his co-stars. Until Jab Tak Hain Jaan in 2012 where he kissed Katrina Kaif. On that SRK said, he was forced to do the scene as the script demanded so and also because Yash Chopra (whom he respected greatly) was the film’s director.

Kareena Kapoor Khan: The leading Bollywood actress has kissed various co-stars in films before her marriage. But after getting married to Saif Ali Khan, she introduced a no-kissing clause in her contract. However, she broke it by kissing Arjun Kapoor in the movie Ki & Ka.

Ajay Devgn: The Singham actor surprised everyone when he broke his 25-year-old no kissing policy by locking lips with Erika Kaar in Shivaay. The actor said that there was never a written clause, he just never wished to kiss his co-star and only kissed in Shivaay because of the script demand.

Saif Ali Khan: The Nawab of Bollywood couldn’t keep his end of the promise and broke his no-kissing policy for Rangoon where he kissed Kangana Ranaut.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: The beauty queen of Bollywood refused to kiss on screen since the beginning of her career until she played the badass role in Dhoom 2. When she locked lips with Hrithik Roshan.
