This initiative aims to help women who are experiencing domestic violence by encouraging people to share selfies along with the names of victims on social media.
Karisma Kapoor, for instance, shared a black and white selfie with the name of a domestic violence survivor and wrote, “I am her voice today and the voices of the many victims of domestic abuse which are going unheard as they are locked up with their abusers in the lockdown. #LockDownMeinLockUp. The rising number of cases has put tremendous pressure on the resources of SNEHA, an NGO that has been fighting domestic violence for 20 years.
