Exhibitor and trade analyst Raj Bansal predicts a ₹13–14 crore opening for Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4, saying the film’s franchise value, comedy, and affordable ticket pricing could work in its favour at the box office.

Speaking about the film’s prospects, Bansal said, “The opening will be quite good. It should get an opening of around ₹13–14 crore.”

He believes Dhamaal 4 occupies the same entertainment space as Welcome to the Jungle. “It’s an old, popular franchise. The similarity between Welcome to the Jungle and this one is that they are old, popular franchises with a massive star cast.”

Clarifying that the film’s appeal isn’t solely because of its ensemble cast, he said, “I’m not talking about a multi-starrer and all that. This isn’t a proper multi-starrer; they’ve just gathered a crowd of actors.”

Explaining why comedy films are striking a chord with audiences, Bansal said, “Because no Hindi film is doing well, anything entertaining works. It’s full of entertainment. The important thing is that they are popular franchises and they are full of entertainment.”

He also cautioned audiences against expecting realism from such films. “It’s not logical entertainment, so one shouldn’t look for logic here. Anyone who comes looking for logic will be disappointed. The one who comes for entertainment will get full entertainment out of it.”

Bansal also stressed that reasonable ticket prices could play a significant role in driving footfalls. “The pricing has been kept very moderate. It’s the same as what’s been going on for the last five or six months; it’s nothing too high. That’s why people will turn up for these kinds of movies. If they keep the prices high, people won’t come.”
