One of the most buzzed-about relationships, that of Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor, is once again in the headlines as their broken engagement continues to generate curiosity even after two decades. Reportedly, the couple got engaged in October 2002; however, their January 2003 wedding was called off without publicly disclosing the exact reason for the decision.

And now, popular late actor Mukri’s daughter, Naseem Mukri, in a recent conversation with Vickey Lalwani, made an explosive revelation. Naseem shared that it was Karisma’s mother, actor Babita, who caused Karisma and Abhishek’s engagement to break off, as she did not approve of the relationship.

Naseem shared that Abhishek and Karisma had fallen in love even before filming of Haan Maine Pyar Kiya started: “No, love happened before the shoot began. There was constant movement and action during the film’s shoot.”

Naseem alleged that Karisma and Abhishek broke up because Babita didn’t approve. She said, “Babita was against their love. She was not allowing this relationship. She got them to break up because of this. Babita told Karisma, ‘Ask Abhishek to transfer these many crores before the marriage; only then will you get to marry him… Because she was a bigger star than Abhishek. They broke up because of that.”

According to Naseem Mukri’s sensational claims, an agreement was put forward demanding that “Abhishek had to transfer money before the marriage. Also, Karisma would be entitled to a certain amount of money if there was a divorce… But the Bachchans didn’t agree to it. So the engagement broke, and she later married businessman Sunjay Kapur.”

And when the interviewer asked why Karisma broke up because Babita asked, Naseem highlighted that Babita was a Hitler and both Karisma and Kareena were scared; however, Kareena didn’t take Babita’s attitude and started living separately.

As of now, neither the Kapoor family nor the Bachchan family has reacted to Naseem Mukri’s viral claims.
