For the past year or so, she’s dealt with quite a lot of legal troubles directly or indirectly. Be it the alleged fraud case against her mother or for her husband Raj Kundra getting jailed, she’s been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons in the recent past. As far as controversies are concerned, Shilpa is absolutely not new in this world for real. Back then in 2007, Shilpa got involved in an alleged case of obscenity when Hollywood actor Richard Gere kissed her in public at at event. And now, we have the latest update around the case.
As per the latest media reports in News 18, Shilpa Shetty has now moved court seeking dismissal of the appeal filed against her in connection with the case.The plea had reportedly challenged the magistrate’s order of discharging her from the case. In her plea, Shilpa has reportedly claimed that the only allegation against her is that she did not protest when Hollywood actor Richard Gere kissed her and therefore, this does not make her a conspirator.
