The funeral of late actor Suniel Anand (legendary actor Dev Anand’s son) will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 1:30 pm at Putney Vale Crematorium, East Chapel, Stag Lane, Putney, London SW15 3DZ.
Close family friend Kuku Puri, who managed Ketnav Studio, confirmed that Suniel Anand’s niece, Gina Narang, and her husband will attend the last rites.
Sharing an update on the family, Puri said, “Since Suniel’s mother, Kalpana ji, is quite old, Devina has stayed back with her mother.”
Puri also recalled his association with the Anand family and remembered the late Dev Anand’s frequent visits to Ketnav Studio before Anand Recording was established.
“Much before Anand Recording opened, Dev Anand would come to the studio for all his work. He would park his car just below an air-conditioning system and complain to me about the hot air blowing out of it. I had to block that portion for his convenience,” Puri said.
Remembering Suniel Anand, he added, “Suniel was a very nice and friendly boy and a good soul.”
Responding to reports that Suniel Anand suffered a cardiac arrest while travelling from the United States to India, Puri recalled a similar experience involving his elder brother.
“My elder brother, Om Shivpuri, had suffered a heart attack while he was in his sleep in Madras. He was there for the shooting of Khoon Bhari Maang, so you never know,” he said.
Family members, friends and well-wishers are expected to gather at the London crematorium to pay their final respects to the late actor.
