The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Udta Teer trailer was released today, September 23, 2026. While the film attempts to blend slapstick humor, drama, patriotism, and chaos into its first look, overall it struggles to leave a lasting impression. Though the premise reads like a quirky entertainer, its predictability and lack of freshness fail to spark genuine anticipation.
The trailer opens with Gulshan Grover and Ram Kapoor’s characters deploying Ayushmann Khurrana as a Pakistani spy Bilal in India on a mission. However, the situation turns upside down when he meets with an accident and forgets his identity. The Pakistani spy becomes a dedicated India lover and joins India’s Counter-Terrorism Squad (CTS), leading to chaos, drama, comedy, and patriotism.
Though the comic moments in the trailer manage to evoke a few chuckles, the narrative fails to establish a strong emotional or dramatic hook. While the performances show flashes of potential, the overall presentation doesn’t quite come together convincingly.
Despite having the ingredients of a light-hearted entertainer, Udta Teer disappoints in its trailer, offering little that feels genuinely exciting or distinctive.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s chemistry is one good part. The two earlier appeared in Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 in 2026.
Udta Teer stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, and Suhail Nayyar, with Akash A. Kaushik making his directorial debut. Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Achin Jain produced the film.
