S.S. Rajamouli had an encounter with Hollywood’s pioneer James Cameron at the Critics’ Choice Awards, where the Titanic director revealed he had watched Rajamouli’s film RRR twice, back in 2023. The director has become one of the most popular in the country, thanks to the success of Bahubali nationwide. RRR made it to the Oscars, eventually.
The Indian filmmaker showed his emotional reaction to the meeting, which he later posted on social media, expressing disbelief that Cameron had spent 10 minutes analysing his film with him.
In a video, we see S.S. Rajamouli recalling his meeting with James Cameron, going all humble as he meets the Titanic director. The video also features a clip of the two pioneers of cinema meeting, where S.S. Rajamouli exclaims that he has watched all his movies, including Terminator, Avatar, Titanic, and others. Additionally, we see him meeting and greeting the director at the event, where they had a chat about filmmaking. He further called him his ‘inspiration.’
