Vivek Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar are set to collaborate on a high-profile film project tentatively titled “Operation Sindoor.” The film will be produced under the prestigious banners of T-Series and I Am Buddha Productions, with Agnihotri taking the director’s chair.
The project’s narrative draws inspiration from the Indian military’s retaliatory strikes on terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) conducted on May 7, 2025. A terrorist attack which impacted tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, occurred in April 2025 and resulted in military action because of the national shock it produced.
Agnihotri has not officially confirmed the title “Operation Sindoor”, but he told India Today that he is currently developing a “very big and very interesting nationalistic project” which he will announce soon. The film generates strong anticipation because Agnihotri has successfully produced patriotic films throughout his career, while Bhushan Kumar brings his extensive production experience.
The high demand for the topic has led various famous filmmakers, such as Aditya Dhar and John Abraham, to create projects that connect to the subject. Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films has announced their upcoming film “Operation Sindoor,” directed by Uttam-Nitin.
The Agnihotri-Kumar project, which is currently in its initial development stage, has not yet disclosed information about its actors, filming timetable or official premiere date.
