Depression can be quite harmful. Many people have traditionally disregarded their mental health, and talking about it was taboo. It can be hard to discuss mental health without coming under scrutiny. People with depression have also experienced suicidal thoughts. Many celebrities have spoken candidly about the same. Thankfully, there has been active reform and awareness about the issue during the past few years. Many famous people have experienced it, overcame it, and left millions of people in awe. When we talk of suicide ideation, names of prominent Bollywood and TV celebrities come to mind.

A few years ago, Deepika Padukone, the star of the film The Fighter, bravely discussed mental health issues and her experience with depression. Her heart was open. Ileana D’Cruz, a Bollywood star, has also experienced suicidal thoughts. The actress had admitted that she had also considered suicide. It was assumed that she had suicidal thoughts as a result of the physical problems. The actress had, however, made it clear that it was because of other problems. In an interview, Rakhi Sawant spoke candidly about having suicidal thoughts. She disclosed that Ritesh left her mother in the hospital alone. She became depressed and considered hanging herself.

Online abuse directed at Urfi Javed over her attire is severe. Daily online trolls would target her. A Bigg Boss OTT competitor admitted to having suicidal thoughts as a result of the vicious teasing, hatred, and negativity. Mrunal Thakur, a Jersey actor, once admitted that she wanted to get off the train. When her life was difficult, the actress struggled with suicidal thoughts. Mrunal expressed the belief that she was useless. Actress Jasmin Bhasin made the surprising admission on Bigg Boss 14 that she had tried suicide since she thought her career wasn’t progressing well. After several rejections, she admitted to losing confidence in herself.
