Barkha Singh is quickly emerging as one of the most promising and talented faces in Indian cinema. She delivered a powerful and emotionally rich performance in her last cameo in the film, The Sabarmati Report, where she starred alongside Vikrant Massey. Her role left a lasting impact on audiences, and she continues to win hearts with her authenticity and screen presence. With a growing lineup of major projects, Barkha is now gearing up for her next big leap in the fourth season of the critically acclaimed and widely loved series Criminal Justice.
Reflecting on the same, Barkha revealed how Pankaj Tripathi stepped in with his advice, ”Working with industry stalwarts has its distinct advantages. An interaction that stayed with me happened among the first few days when we were shooting a very important and technical scene, and I was unhappy with the way I performed it, I felt I should have taken another approach which would have been better. Naturally, I was a little upset by the time we wrapped because it was too late to ask Rohan sir for another take or to re-do the scene — it was the first time I had ever felt that way after a scene. Pankaj Sir sensed it and told, ‘Yeh sab hota rehta hai, bade bade actor ke saath bhi hota hai… yeh udaasi set pe hi chhod kar jaana, ghar pe mat leke jana. Kal aana aur macha dena!’ And that little pep talk was all I needed to feel better!”
While the makers are keeping Barkha’s role tightly under wraps, her brief yet striking appearance in the trailer has already piqued curiosity. Her intense expressions and emotionally charged presence suggest a layered character, marking a possible departure from her familiar ‘girl-next-door’ image to something darker and more nuanced. In the upcoming season of the hit crime drama series, Barkha is set to surprise audiences with a role unlike anything she’s done before, promising yet another standout performance. Fans are eagerly awaiting her powerful return. Meanwhile, she also stars in Lafangey, an exciting Amazon miniTV series by Yellow Montage.
