Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, along with Ajit Andhare, the COO of Viacom18 Studios, and P. S. Bharathi, the Executive Producer of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag from ROMP Pictures, is organizing a special screening of the movie on 26th July in Mumbai to pay tribute to the late Indian Sprint legend, Milkha Singh. The esteemed athlete, also known as “The Flying Sikh” of the nation, passed away last year. This special screening is a way of honoring his legacy.

The movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was a biographical sports drama about the late Indian sprint legend, Milkha Singh, played by Farhan Akhtar. Although the audience enjoyed the film, this special screening will allow people to relive the nostalgia of this inspirational tale on the screen many years after its original release.

As a spokesperson from ROMP Pictures, P. S. Bharathi said, “10 years of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. It’s really a very special movie for me and the entire nation indeed. The movie, which was released in 2013, tells the inspiring story of Milkha Singh, a legendary Indian athlete who overcame numerous obstacles to become a world champion and Olympian. The film features a talented cast, including Farhan Akhtar as Milkha Singh, and is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It is filled with motivational music and is considered a masterpiece of Indian cinema. The film was also a commercial success, ranking as the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2013.
