“It’s Wild, It’s Deep, It’s Like a Roller Coaster”: Rocking Star Yash on Toxic

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups continues to generate massive excitement across the globe, with audiences praising the film’s striking visuals, scale and intensity. During his Comic-Con appearance for Ramayana, Yash was asked about the growing buzz around Toxic, prompting the actor to open up about the film, the audience response, and why he believes it will “blow everybody’s mind.”

Reacting to the phenomenal reception, Yash shared, “Thank you very much. I know this is a movie which will blow everybody’s mind because it’s like a roller coaster. It’s wild, it’s very unapologetic, but at the same time it’s something very deep also. It may come across as larger than life and wild, that’s the texture of the film, but deep inside it’s a very emotional film. I think it’s going to be a great combination. Anybody can walk into the theatre, and I’m very sure when they come out, they’ll be blown away and say, ‘What the hell was that?’”

The actor also spoke about collaborating with acclaimed Hollywood action director JJ Perry, revealing that action has always been one of his biggest passions as an actor.

“I love action. I’m a fan of action movies, so whenever there are action sequences, the kid inside me gets excited. JJ did a great job. We have tried to bring the best quality action to this film, but at the same time it’s not action without a reason. The emotion behind the action is important, and I think we have got that right in Toxic,” he said.

With anticipation continuing to soar, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited cinematic spectacles of the year.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups stars Rocking Star Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on 26th August 2026.
