The Bengal Files began its box office journey, earning ₹1.75 crore on Friday. Collections grew steadily over the weekend with ₹2.25 crore on Saturday and peaking at ₹2.75 crore on Sunday. As the weekdays began, the film collected ₹1.15 crore on Monday, followed by ₹1.35 crore on Tuesday and another ₹1.35 crore on Wednesday, bringing its total to ₹10.25 crore within six days of release.
With this film, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri brings forth the harrowing history of the genocide against Hindus and the tragic events of Direct Action Day and its aftermath.
