Since the 1970s, Rajinikanth has been a megastar in the Tamil film industry. He is one of Asia’s highest-paid actors. He has primarily appeared in Tamil films, but he has also appeared in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Hollywood films. He was born in Bangalore, India, and before entering the Madras Film Institute, he worked as a bus conductor. In Katha Sangama, he made his acting debut in 1975, and with Apoorva Raagangal, he quickly gained notoriety.
