Akkineni Nagarjuna is making his Bollywood comeback after 15 years with director Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, the fantasy action-adventure film is a three-part fantasy trilogy..

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be seen in the lead roles. Ranbir is playing a man with superpowers named Shiva, while Alia’s character is called Isha. Meanwhile, sources claim that the Nagarjuna is essaying the role of an archaeologist in the big-budget project.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Nagarjuna’s portions have been extensively filmed in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Chet Singh Fort and on the banks of Ganga. It is also said that Nagarjuna’s character, along with his students undertakes an expedition to restore an ancient temple along the banks of the Ganga.

Brahmastra was scheduled to release on December 4, 2020. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the release date had to be postponed. The shooting for Brahmastra began in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2018. The film is currently being shot in Mumbai. The Ayan Mukerji-directed film will release in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
