Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been the lucky one to play the role of late actress Savitri in the film Mahanati. Mahanati is based on the life of late actress Savitri. The movie featured Keerthy Suresh in the lead role with Dulquer Salmaan playing the role of her husband Gemini Ganesan. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda were also seen playing pivotal roles in the movie.
We all know of Savitri having marital problems and going through a very rough phase. In a recent interview, Samantha compared her position to the late actress and told media that she would have ended up being like Savitri if she had not called off her wedding.
