Salman Khan, the Bhaijaan of Bollywood needs no introduction. The actor has not only stunned us all with his blockbuster Bollywood movies but also helped several with his Being Human foundation, the actor has won over with his good deeds. With that, the actor is one of those, who reigns Bollywood, but did you know that actor isn’t a big fan of the term Bollywood?

The actor first got his screen space through an ad, Campa Cola. While he appeared in the Tara Sharma show, he revealed how he got the role. He said, “I was swimming one day at the Sea Rock club and I saw this really beautiful, young lady walking past in a red sari. To impress her, I dived in the water and being such an idiot, I swam the whole length underwater. So when I came out on the other side, she was not there. The next day, I get a call from Far Productions, saying that they want me to do a cold drink commercial – it was Campa Cola, at that point in time. I was wondering, ‘How did this come about?’”

He also added, “I went to meet Kailash with my aunt. I said, ‘Okay, done. But who gave you, my number?’ He said, ‘That girl that you were trying to impress is my girlfriend. She told me that this guy swims really well. We were supposed to shoot that in The Maldives and they did want somebody who knew how to swim underwater. Me and Jackie’s (Shroff) wife Ayesha were the only two who could do those laps underwater. That’s how I faced the camera for the first time,”

Notwithstanding, Salman Khan had once asserted he detested the business he works in. Back in 2011, the actor had taken to his Twitter account and tweeted that found the term Bollywood sickening and that he didn’t like the name.

Salman Khan took it to his Twitter and said, “Hate this bloody name, Bollywood, koi naam hai kya? Disgusting.” as stated in Koi Moi.

This tweet shocked the entire nation, however, some of his fans came out to his support. One wrote, “@BeingSalmanKhan haan bhai yeh acha idea hai (Yes Bhai, it is a good idea).”

Another fan stated, “@BeingSalmanKhan u hate it na…chill, we will not use this name from now we will call it just “film industry” like you always says.”

Another wrote, “@BeingSalmanKhan nhi Bollywood nhi hona chahiye balkiy sultan ki saltanat hona chahiye hana,” (No it shouldn’t be called Bollywood, it should be called the “Sultan’s” kingdom).
