Shefali Shah, who is known for her work in movie Dil Dhadakne Do and Netflix series Delhi Crime, had once revealed that she was apprehensive about signing the blockbuster movie Dil Dhadakne Do. In the movie, the actress essayed the role of Neelam Mehra, the mother of Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh’s characters Ayesha and Kabir. However, not many know that, the actress was hesitant about playing a mother to Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.
As per reports in Times Of India, talking about the same to PTI, Shefali revealed, “When Zoya offered me the film she said ‘I want you but it is a mother’s role’. I read the script and told my husband that it is one of the best scripts I have read and the role is fantastic. He asked me what the problem was and when I told him he advised me to take it up. There were apprehensions as Priyanka and Ranveer are closer to my age. But as my character was well-written, I couldn’t say no.”
Well, fans are happy that Shefali took up the role as she completely nailed it with her performance.
