JYP announced on December 19, 2013, that they were going to launch a new girl group, which was the beginning of TWICE’s adventure. The current TWICE members Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Sana, were initially going to debut together as a group, according to the agency. The concept was abandoned, however, when Cecilia and Lena, two JYP trainees who were intended to be group members, left. Then, on February 11, 2015, JY Park, the CEO of J.P. Entertainment, said a new female group called Sixteen, which consists of seven members, would be formed as a result of a survival program. Mnet is a collaborator on this program.

The TWICE members were subsequently revealed to be Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Sana, Mina, Chaeyoung, and Dahyun in the show. But because of Momo’s great talents, JY Park ultimately decided to include Tzuyu (based on fan voting) and Momo. Then, a group called “TWICE” was formed. JY Park came up with the group’s name, which has a deep meaning: a girl group that will touch their audience’s hearts through both their ears and their eyes.

Since their days as trainees, these three have been close. They were even getting ready to make their debut in a group when it was canceled. They appear to be closed because they have made it TWICE together. When with TWICE members, they occasionally resemble a “seniors’ college” or another institution. You might hear them chuckling to themselves or chatting to themselves about something that other TWICE members don’t really understand as if it were an inside joke or something only they knew. Jihyo was also driven to her boyfriend’s home by Nayeon and Jeongyeon. They appear to discuss a lot of things together and undoubtedly know most of one other’s secrets. However, Chaeyoung joins them the most. Thus you can only really include him in this three-part. Recently, NAYEON claimed that she is the one who is closest to Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung still understands her, she claimed, despite some sort of age difference. They go out a lot together, have a lot of mutual acquaintances, and have participated in many LIVES together. They resemble the best of buddies. This explains why Chaeyoung refers to Nayeon as a close friend instead of an “elder sister.” When Chaeyoung spoke to Nayeon during a VLIVE, she didn’t realize it was life at first and just dropped all the “Annie” lingo, talking to her in a way that would be typical of longtime best friends. Even though it was the same life and circumstance, Tzuyu didn’t experience this incident as soon as Dahyun said to Nayeon.
