Billie Eilish says she doesn’t get why people are so concerned about other people’s bodies. The Bad Guy singer recently expressed her confusion over why a person’s appearance is so important to so many people. Happier Than Ever, the 19-year-old singer’s second studio album, was released on July 30, 2021.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Billie Eilish highlighted “unflattering” images of herself and how people draw assumptions about her based on them. The interviewer was correct in stating that it was “strange” that her body was “dissected” in this manner, with people discussing it in such detail. The artist stated that bodies are merely important to “move around,” calling body-shaming culture “stupid.”

She said: “Yes! We only need bodies to eat, walk around, and poop, after all. They are solely necessary for our survival. It’s absurd that anyone bothers about bodies in the first place. Why do we care, for example “You know, when you think about it”.

On and off stage, the Grammy winner is known for wearing baggy attire. Eilish told the aforementioned publication that certain photos on the internet have had a bad effect on her mental health, saying:

She added: ‘I see individuals online who seem like I’ve never seen them before and I think to myself, ‘Oh my God, how do they look like that?’

‘I’m familiar with the ins and outs of the industry, as well as what individuals actually utilize in images, and I’m aware that what appears to be real can be phony. ‘Oh God, that makes me feel extremely horrible,’ I still think when I see that. And I mean, I’m really confident in who I am, and I’m quite pleased with my life; nevertheless, I’m clearly unhappy with my physique.’
