In Los Angeles, California, on October 21, 1995, Doja Cat was born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini to actors Dumisani Dlamini and Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer. She started recording music and posting it to SoundCloud as a youngster. She signed a joint record deal with RCA Records and Kemosabe at the age of 17, releasing her debut EP, Purrr!, after their interest in her song, So High, was piqued. In 2014. After taking a break from music, Doja Cat returned in 2018 with the release of her debut studio album, Amala, and later saw her track, “Mooo!” become a popular online meme. February 2019, along with the tracks Juicy (featuring Tyga) and Tia Tamera (featuring Rico Nasty), was included on the deluxe edition of her debut album. The track Say So from Doja Cat’s second studio album Hot Pink (2019), which was certified multi-platinum and peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart following the release of a remix with Nicki Minaj, debuted in the top 10 of the US Billboard 200. In 2020, Doja and Ariana Grande worked together on the song Motive. Later, Doja and Megan Thee Stallion appeared on the remix of Ariana’s song 34+35, which became her second song to enter the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100. Kiss Me More (with SZA), the third song to accomplish This feat, served as the lead Four episodes of the documentary series “Dangerous Woman Diaries”, which is slated for release in 2021.

At the 2021 MTV VMAs, Doja Cat didn’t hold back when it came to providing defining moments in fashion. Everyone was talking about the 25-year-old musician’s several costume changes as she hosted the music awards presentation. The “Say So” singer’s creative director and stylist, Brett Alan Nelson, discussed working with Doja on her eye-catching ensembles in an interview with ET’s Marisa Runyon on Monday. Last night, the celebrity wore six different looks. Every costume generated discussion, but the “worm” Thom Browne dress and the claw shoes by AVAVAV stood out as the night’s most memorable outfits.
