Talented singer Neha Bhasin has done imminent work in Bollywood and the independent genre of music. Today being World Music Day, Neha Bhasin talks to IWMBuzz.com about how music has been her life and order of living.

Says Neha, “Music is life. It is literally the breath of my life, it is the air to my lung.”

The singer who has sung amazing groovy songs like ‘Swag Se Swaagat’, ‘Dhunki’, ‘Jag Ghoomeya’, Neha feels that it is a great time for music now. “Today, you don’t have to just depend on film music. Digital presence of music has become big. Singles are happening. Web series are big. Today, sky is the limit. I have been fighting an independent battle for years, and the scenario for music is getting better.”

Stating that every song of hers is special, Neha avers, “Every song that I have sung has been like a landmark moment in my life. Every song has come with a lot of goodness. ”

Neha Bhasin recollects a moment when she saw a miracle transforming her life, and states, “I had a tiff with a very big label where a song of mine had been removed. That very day, I got a call from Vishal -Shekhar to sing Swag Se Swagat. I saw it as divine intervention and felt that things were falling in place. Though that particular song did not work, Swag Se Swagat has seen millions of views.”

On working with her contemporary singers and music directors, Neha exclaims, “Mohit Chauhan is my favourite. I would have loved to work with KK. I have not worked with seniors like Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam, Kavita and many others. I wish I could work with more of the musical geniuses in the industry.”

Neha states that she can today call herself a dancing performer and is proud of the fact that she is one. “I started my career as a dancing performer. This concept in India is not understood very well. They are so used to playback singers, and men being hip-hop singers, but are not comfortable seeing women being comfortable with their sensuality, and fitness in addition to being singers. I thoroughly enjoy being one. Now, I am being unapologetic about it.”

Happy Music Day, to all!!
