Kumar Sanu was one of the most popular singers of Bollywood in the 90s and every 90s kid definitely remembers swaying to his tunes and falling in love with music. His career took off after the release of the movie Aashiqui and he has been touching newer heights ever since. For the next couple of years, Sanu went on to give many more hits and endlessly worked with determination to make it to the top in Bollywood. But after the decade ended, Bollywood started looking for younger singers and found the likes of Sonu Nigam and Atif Aslam, despite which, Kumar Sanu still remained one of the most loved voices of Bollywood and fans have never gotten over his songs.

This change in trend is why Kumar Sanu had to take a back seat. But unfortunately enough, he completely disappeared after the year 2008 and fans all over the country were left wondering if he would make a comeback in the industry or ever sing with that melodious voice.

He was awarded the Padma Shree in the following year and that honour was well-deserved by this multi-talented singer, who is acquainted with quite a lot of languages and cultures. But that didn’t change anything and we can say for certain that people all over the country and his millions of fans were missing this legend and his legendary voice.

His voice was not heard until 2012 when he made a comeback with Rowdy Rathore starring Akshay Kumar. However, Kumar Sanu says that he has never been busier as he has 50 films lined up for release in various regional languages. He is touring both in and outside of India which is great news for the fans and it seems like we are going to hear much more of him and soon!
