What is your go-to song?

Tum Ho Paas Mere by Mohit Chauhan from Rockstar. Rockstar as a movie is very close to my heart. I have seen it over 20 times now and every time I watch it, this song and movie offer me a new perspective on life.

What is the one song that makes you very happy and charged up after a tiring day?

Unstoppable by Sia. Sia is a fantastic artist and she has sung some memorable songs, which are inspiring. This song lifts my spirits and mood if ever I’m feeling blue. As an artist, we face a lot of ups and downs and this song makes me feel really nice. I listen to it even as i work out in my gym.

Significance of listening to songs for you is:

Music is divine. It is the genesis of the soul. Music keeps us close to reality as well as offers wings to our dreams. A lot of us can associate with movies on the basis of the songs and that is the power of music and songs. As an actor, this is what I seek that one day even I aspire to be a part of an iconic song. That is one thing that keeps me going.

What is your favourite song?

Abhi na jao chhodke – By Mohd Rafi. Rafi Saab is one of the greatest singers this world has ever seen and even though I wasn’t born in the era he was giving playback, I still cherish the songs he’s sung.

What is the one song that has one memory related to it?

Chak De from Chak De India. I remember this song vividly because it was the same year India won T20 World Cup 2007 in South Africa against Pakistan. The movie, the actresses in it and SRK of course were amazing, but this song takes me back to the time when India won that game.

What is your favourite Hindi song?

Phir se udd chala from Rockstar.

Lyrics of that one song that you remember to the T?

Phir Se Udd Chala’s lyrics are the ones that I know by heart and I can recite them even if you wake me up from a deep slumber.

Your Favourite Dance Song?

Battameez Dil from Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani. I have performed on that song a lot of times, especially in front of my family and friends..they insist that I perform on it.

A song that you love singing to your life partner?

Kaise mujhe tum mil gayi – Ghajini. That song teleports me to a different time and reality where I am with my partner and singing it to her.

A song that describes your family?

Ek dusre se karte hai pyaar hum – from the movie Hum. It was the first film I saw with my family I believe.
