After an Instagram user made a statement about Britney’s mental health, Jamie Lynn Spears defended her on social media. Jamie Lynn, who is 29, began by sharing a screenshot of Halsey’s tweet, which read: “No jokes right now.” I’ve dedicated my career to providing bipolar disorder knowledge and understanding, and I’m deeply worried by what I’m seeing. A manic episode isn’t a joke, regardless of your personal feelings towards someone. If you can’t provide pity or understanding, offer your silence.”

In the same article, she included tweets about mental health from Nina Parker, Kevin McHale, and Maren Morris. “If you deal with mental illness or care for someone who deals with mental illness, you know how important it is to respect the person’s privacy and the family’s efforts to protect their loved ones, no matter how it appears to the public, and as the public, we must learn to do the same,” Jamie Lynn said. “I hope this does not make anyone who is coping with mental illness feel ashamed; you are not alone, and you are loved. I’m sending all of my love and prayers to you.” she continued.

“How about your sister’s OBVIOUS mental illness?” someone then asked. “Why don’t you say something about it?” “You have no right to infer anything about my sister, and I have NO right to speak about her health and personal matters,” Jamie Lynn promptly said. The only thing that is OBVIOUS about her is that she is a powerful, fierce, unstoppable woman.”

Britney’s well-being has been a source of concern for fans since she was placed under conservatorship in 2008. Jamie Spears, her father, was in charge of her personal and financial decisions until September of last year. He had to resign due to his own health issues. Lynne Spears, Britney’s mother, filed legal filings last week demanding to be included in all future decisions surrounding Britney’s conservatorship.
