A 30-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday afternoon after she allegedly shot at pop superstar Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion while the singer was present in the house. The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. local time, sending shockwaves through the upscale neighbourhood.

According to police, the suspect drove up in a white Tesla and parked across the street from the property’s gate before firing approximately ten rounds from an AR-15-style rifle. The bullets which struck the home exterior and a nearby parked vehicle included at least one round which penetrated a house wall. The building’s occupants escaped uninjured.

Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, was confirmed to be at home during the shooting. Authorities have not disclosed whether her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky or their three children were present at the time of the attack.

After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene, but an LAPD helicopter quickly located her. Officers apprehended the woman near a shopping mall in Sherman Oaks without further incident. She was taken into custody and is expected to face a range of criminal charges.

The investigation is currently being conducted by detectives from the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division. The police investigation will continue until they discover the attacker’s purpose, while officials have confirmed that Rihanna’s properties endured previous assaults, which included a 2018 burglary at her Hollywood Hills residence.

The shooting has raised concerns about celebrity security and the increasing risks faced by high-profile individuals. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about the incident to contact investigators as the case continues to unfold.
