Recently, BLACKPINK’s made their come back with “Pink Venom”.

Despite, the girl-band managed to win both M!Countdown and Inkigayo, BLINKS observed that they were not even amongst the front runners during the week of August 26, 2022, for Music Bank.

Korean media reported that the reason was simple, the song had mentions of brands in it, which made it improper for scoring. In the rap, Lisa has given a shoutout to the brand CELINE, a luxury house that has almost rhymes with Lisa.

This the life of a vandal, masked up and I’m still in CELINE — Lisa, “Pink Venom”

“Pink Venom” will be been missing from Music Bank‘s K-Chart for September. Previously, BLACKPINK had been charted at 38th place with “Lovesick Girls”. But, because of the mention of CELINE in the lyrics, the song had been excluded from the charts, they said, “mentioning a specific brand thereby going against the 46th clause in the rules for broadcast”.

Usually, in such cases, companies edit the problematic portion of songs and ask for a reevaluation, but as reported YG Entertainment has not made any requests for re-evaluation. “Pink Venom” thereby continues to be excluded from K-Chart and will not place on Music Bank.
