Chennai Super Kings, one of the most celebrated IPL teams, has announced its separation with head coach Stephen Fleming after almost two decades of partnership. On Monday, July 13, the IPL team revealed the big decision on its official Instagram handle with the caption, “OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT. The Super Kings and Head Coach Stephen Fleming have mutually decided to part ways.”

The post further expressed gratitude to Fleming’s contribution to domestic cricket, saying, “Together, we shared one of the most successful and enduring partnerships in IPL history. The legacy you’ve built will continue to inspire us.
With immense respect and gratitude, Thank you, Stephen.”

Fleming joined CSK as a player in its inaugural edition of the tournament under MS Dhoni’s captaincy in 2008. With Fleming’s exit from Chennai Super Kings, the head coach position remains vacant, prompting discussions. As per the media reports, former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani is in contention to join CSK. He was the head coach of Delhi Capitals (DC) for the last two seasons in the IPL.
