Post Quarantine, and coming COVID-19 negative, Team India geared up for their preparations for the first the first Test match against England on February 5. Ravi Shastri gave a rejuvenating call to the players who were there with the coach at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. BCCI (The Board of Control for Cricket in India) mentioned in a tweet, saying, “Day 1 of our nets session in Chennai and it is Head Coach @RaviShastriOfc who welcomes the group with a rousing address,”.

The pillars of the team were seen warming up at the stadium, which included, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel and others too.
It is to be said that the second Test match shall take place in Chennai and shall commence on Feb 13. And the last two Tests of the series shall occur in Ahmedabad and BCCI might consider the fans to enter the premises in three fixtures.

TNCA (Tamil Nadu Cricket Association) secretary, RS Ramasaamy told the news agency, ANI, “We have spoken to the BCCI, we will get official approval for 50 per cent fans by today evening,”. The Test matches shall be followed by five T20Is and all are to occur in Ahmedabad, New Motera stadium.

On the other hand, The England team has also come out COVID negative and completed their quarantine as well and are yet to be trained as a team.
