The match 34 of IPL 2020 saw a tough fight between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings(CSK).

Batting first, CSK posted a competitive total of 179/4. F du Plessis (58), SR Watson (36) and AT Rayudu (45) helped score the important runs.

Chasing, DC put up a tough fight but it was all a Shikhar Dhawan show who kept audiences entertained. Playing at 99, there was drama when Shikhar was given out behind the wickets, however, on review the decision was reversed.

Shikhar went on to score a classy century in the 19th over, a fine innings.

Needing 17 from 6 in the 20th over, the match was poised for a nail-biting finish.

In a battle of nerves, it was a little beauty of a play from Axar Patel which put water on CSK’s plans. Axar hit three sixes in the last over to Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling to get the team to victory.

DC won the match with 5 wickets remaining.

Shikhar remained unbeaten at 101.
