It seems CSK (Chennai Super Kings) management, without MS Dhoni’s involvement, reportedly completed a major player trade. The reports suggest that Thala (Dhoni) was unhappy when the franchise ditched its popular player, Ravindra Jadeja, to the Rajasthan Royals to bring in wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson before the arrival of IPL (Indian Premier League) 2026.

According to reports, MS Dhoni supported the idea of bringing Sanju Samson into the Chennai Super Kings as a future successor, but he didn’t agree to ditch Ravindra Jadeja and replace him with Sanju Samson. And with this, Dhoni was very upset with the decision made.

In addition, Dhoni was so unhappy that he even said he was unsure whether to continue with CSK after this big trade. Reports suggest that the franchise sidelined those involved in the deal to calm Dhoni. The report said, “MS Dhoni has even told the franchise that this year could be his last with Chennai Super Kings after the swap.”

On this matter, the CSK representative hasn’t made any comments, while the reports say CSK management has denied the rumors.

Earlier, the Rajasthan Royals traded Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran in exchange for Sanju Samson ahead of the mini auction last year.

Talking about MS Dhoni, he has played in the Indian Premier League since the first season in 2008, and over the years, he has played 248 matches in the league.
