Vinesh Phogat is one of the most talented and loved female wrestlers that we have in the country today. She’s one of the finest female wrestlers who’s brought glory to the country on multiple occasions and well, we are entirely proud of her and all her achievements. While more often than not, she hits the news for the right reasons. This time, we have a shocker of an update coming from her end.

As per the latest media reports in India Today, Vinesh Phogat has accused Wrestling Federation Of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan of sexual harassment. Phogat reportedly made the claim after star wrestlers from the country protested against the man in New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. She also alleged that she was subjected to mental harassment by the man due to which she had even contemplated suicide in the past. She revealed that she was earlier silenced in the past from revealing the same. She was quoted as saying,

“I spoke out against it. Brij Bhushan Saharan Singh was sexually harassing the female wrestlers. No one takes responsibility for injuries. They talk of banning wrestlers from nationals. The WFI president called me khota sikka (useless). I wanted to commit suicide. I have been issued death threats since I complained to the Prime Minister regarding harassment.”
