It was on the opening day of the Women’s World cup in 2017 when India bet England by a whopping 35 runs. Mandhana’s 90 off 72 balls counted for a match-winning inning. Smriti hit an amazing 11 fours and 6 sixes to get the total for her batting order. Smriti was just 20 at that time and had just gotten back from a ligament tear and showing this form of cricket in the first match post-injury is commendable.
