Indian women’s cricket team seems to be in great shape as the players impose a draw on the England Women’s team on their home ground. The test match was filled with interesting twists and turns and it has been a good experience for the Indian Women team. England won the toss and the captain Heather Knight decided to bat first as the home ground was crispy and healthy. The openers Lauren Winfield-Hill and Tamsin Beaumont started their batting with Lauren scoring 35 runs and Tamsin scoring 66 runs giving the team the headstart that they needed. The captain of the team scored an amazing 95 runs out of 175 deliveries. Sophia Dunkley carried the match till the end.
For the Indian side, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma played an amazing match with their amazing 78 and 96 runs respectively. The second inning played by the Indian women team with Shafali Verma again with her amazing performance scored 63 runs.
Another amazing wonder was done by the all-rounder Sneh Rana who was left startled after losing her father to a heart attack, her father’s last wish was to see his daughter play for India. Her knee injury kept her out of the team, but the talented all-rounder played after 5 years. It was a very proud moment for the girl.
