On Friday, 16th April, Chennai Super Kings finally won their first IPL match against the team Punjab Kings. The Captain of the team CSK, MS Dhoni started with 0 runs on the sheet, but the captain made sure about his second match win. Chennai Super Kings made a celebration party for MS Dhoni’s 200th IPL match for the team Chennai Super Kings. They celebrated his success after CSK’s six-wicket victory defeating Punjab Kings in IPL 2021 in Mumbai on Saturday. In a video posted by CSK via online media, Dhoni is seen cutting a cake on the event of his 200th match and imparting it to his colleagues, who acclaim the skipper’s achievement. Dhoni was seen offering the cake to batting coach Stephen Fleming and long-term CSK colleague Suresh Raina among others.
Dhoni has in total played 206 in the IPL due to the issues of the CSK franchise which was banned for 2 years. Dhoni has had a rough start with the match against Delhi Capitals. Dhoni has never gone off with a duck, this was his first time. Though the win against Punjab Kings showed the dominance of CSK. Punjab Kings were all out for 106 runs, CSK’s batsman Moeen Ali who scored 46 off 31 balls, and FAF du Plessis who then finished off the match with 36 runs. It was an important victory for the team.
