Eros Files ₹84 Crore Lawsuit Against Aanand L. Rai Over ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ IP Dispute
Eros International Media Ltd has filed a lawsuit against Aanand L. Rai for ₹84 crores in the Bombay High Court and his Colour Yellow Media Entertainment LLP company, claiming that the 2013 blockbuster Raanjhanaa's intellectual property was used without the owner’s consent. The lawsuit focuses on Rai's upcoming movie Tere Ishk Mein, scheduled for release in 2025. Akhanda 2 Release Put On Hold With Eros Filing Lawsuit
Eros International Media Limited (“Eros”), after filing an appeal with the Madras High Court, suffered a significant setback when the Court ordered that the production house's planned film, Akhanda 2, be halted. The issue has its roots in a previous arbitration decision that ruled in Eros’s favour against 14 Reels Entertainment Private Limited.
