Abhishek Sharrma’s portrayal of Devansh in Zee TV’s Vasudha is being appreciated by the viewers, and many feel that he looks very natural on screen. The actor has made the character relatable not by dramatic expressions or larger-than-life moments, but by subtle reactions and emotional honesty. That’s one of the reasons Devansh has become such an integral part of the show’s story.
Interestingly, Abhishek doesn’t begin his preparation by concentrating on dialogues. For him, the real work starts much earlier. “For me, authenticity comes from understanding the emotional truth of a scene rather than focusing on the dialogue. Before every scene, I spend time understanding what my character is feeling at that exact moment and why my character is feeling that,” he said.
Abhishek doesn’t act out emotions; he likes to feel them personally. He feels that the audience can immediately recognise when an emotion is real and when it is merely an act. “I also try to relate those emotions. I try to feel those emotions, and I try to observe how Dev would react and how other people would react around him. I try to imbibe that feeling.”
The actor also spoke about the importance of being fully present while shooting. While preparation matters, he feels some of the strongest moments happen naturally when actors respond to each other in real time. “At the same time, I stay present during the performance because genuine reactions often come from truly listening to co-actors.”
Abhishek described acting as a collaborative process rather than an individual performance. “It’s about give and take, so this combination really helps me keep the emotions honest and natural.”
That seems to be working out well for him. A lot of that credit goes to Abhishek, who lends sincerity to the role, and week after week, viewers continue to connect with Devansh’s journey.
