In an exclusive interview with IWMBuzz.com, Munira spoke about her journey, challenges, bond with the team, and more. Read on:

Bhagya Lakshmi has been a huge show for you. Tell us about the ups and downs in the journey?

I want to reveal a small story. Not many people know but I initially had a hard time adjusting to the show. I have never done a job in my life. This project was the first job of my career. Going every day to set and shooting for long hours was hectic for me. It was difficult initially but touchwood I got used to it. Having said that as the days progressed, I learnt a lot and made great friends on set. We also completed a year of shooting for the show. Hence so far, the journey has been amazing.

How satisfied are you with the role of Shalu at the moment?

I am very happy and love my character. Shalu always takes a stand for things that are right. She loves her sister a lot and shares a great bond with Aayush too. When I read about the character during the audition, I really loved her character. Shalu spreads positive vibes and I enjoy playing the role.

Tell us about your rapport with your co-stars?

I can’t describe it in words. We all have become like family now. We shoot with each other every day. And it has been one year since the show, the bond has become stronger. Even though we meet on set every day while we shoot, we even have get-togethers on our off days. Aishwarya Khare is like my elder sister in real life too. Aishwarya and my bond are similar to Lakshmi and Shalu. Rohit Suchanti and I both love to read books and that’s how we both bond. Aman Gandhi and I are exactly like Ayush and Shalu. We keep pulling each other’s legs. Mansi and I share a room, so we too have a great rapport.

Shalu and Ayush’s chemistry is loved by fans. How do you both bring out the chemistry that is seen on the screen?

I want to give credit to my director sir. He has always guided me well during my scenes. The director created Shalu and Ayush’s bond and we too maintained the same. Now, off-screen we are also great friends. I love shooting with Ayush aka Aman.

You have been winning appreciation for your role. How does it feel?

I have been receiving appreciation from my fans. I can’t thank them enough. Fans keep sending DMs, and videos. I recently won the Best Sister Award at Zee Rishtey and it was an amazing moment for me. I am grateful to God, the makers, and fans for everything.

What is the biggest lesson that this industry has taught you over the years?

To be very honest, I have been very new to this industry. I have learnt that any opportunity that comes your way, you should grab it. Also, understand the project and dedicatedly work towards the project. Always work hard and you will definitely receive the outcome the same.

Would you like to explore the web platform?

I would love to work on OTT projects. It is just the beginning for me in the industry. Hence, I want to do a lot of work and explore various platforms.
